As global emissions and average temperatures rise, there is an urgent need to reduce emissions in all sectors in order to achieve the goals set out in the Paris Agreement. Veterinary surgeons occupy an extraordinary niche at the animal-human-environment interface, with the potential to help mitigate climate impacts of veterinary practices, animal agriculture and the pet industry.
