Ed Bailey announced as the new Chair for Vet Sustain.

Vet Sustain

Vet Sustain is excited to announce that Ed Bailey is the new Chair of Vet Sustain. Ed follows on from the previous Chair, Gudrun Ravetz, after the end of her term guiding the organisation.

Ed Bailey is a practising farm animal vet, who also works with farmers and the Soil Association to help maximise the environmental benefits of nature-friendly farming. He is a Clinical Director and Sustainability Lead at The George Veterinary Group, where he is passionate to embed sustainability as a core value across veterinary practice. Ed has been a vital asset to Vet Sustain as a Director and as a Food and Farming Working Group member, contributing his expertise across Vet Sustain projects and initiatives.

Ed said “I am delighted to be taking on the Chair role from Gudrun, who has done a great job and is a tough act to follow. As a farm vet in an independent mixed practice, I know well the wide range of challenges facing vets who want to have a positive impact on sustainability. Vet Sustain is working hard to help transform concern into meaningful action, and I look forward to furthering our mission to enable and inspire.”

Gudrun Ravetz said “It has been a privilege to Chair Vet Sustain through such an exciting time, as we have grown not only our team, but also launched a number of key resources and products to support and champion sustainability in the veterinary profession. I look forward to continuing to support Vet Sustain under Ed’s fantastic leadership.”
